How the ranking works

Boundary: Amsterdam municipality only. Amstelveen, Zaandam and other nearby municipalities were excluded. Multi-location brands are mapped to the exact branch named in the evidence when available; generic Roopram endorsements are mapped to the documented Oude Pijp branch and clearly labeled as brand-level support.

What counts: an identifiable Reddit user’s first-person recommendation, positive report, or unambiguous agreement. Each case-insensitive (username, venue) pair counts once across all 18 threads. A user may endorse several venues. Post authors count only when describing their own positive experience.

What does not: upvotes, deleted or unknown accounts, hearsay, wish lists, venues merely named in a question, neutral operations talk, negative/ambiguous comments, bot posts, and duplicate cross-posts. Comments were paraphrased to keep quotations short.

Why “verified minimum”: Reddit did not expose complete usernames or comment bodies on every crawled thread, especially some travel-community pages. The displayed totals include only auditable named endorsements and should be read as lower bounds—not measures of absolute popularity.

Verification & map

Branch address, operating status and regular hours were checked on 9 September 2026. Official venue pages were preferred; current tourism/map/directory listings were used when a venue had no maintained official source. Holiday hours and sell-outs can differ. Pin coordinates are approximate street-level placements from current address lookups rather than authoritative building centroids; the graphic is a schematic, not a navigation map, and every pin links to an exact Google Maps search.
